Our 2025-26 Beneficiaries

Qmunity is British Columbia’s leading queer, trans, and Two-Spirit resource centre, providing a safe and inclusive space in Vancouver’s Davie Village since 1979. They offer a wide range of programs and services including peer support groups, gender-affirming care, mental health counselling, legal clinics, and educational training. Through advocacy, outreach, and community-building, Qmunity works to improve the lives of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals across the province.

Health Initiative for Men (HIM) is a BC‑based nonprofit that enhances the health and well‑being of self‑identified gay, bi, queer men and gender‑diverse individuals through a comprehensive array of sexual, mental, physical, and social health services. Operating multiple health centres in the Lower Mainland, as well as mobile and event-based clinics across the province, HIM provides HIV/STI testing and treatment, PrEP/PEP and mpox awareness, harm reduction support, and mailed HIV self‑test kits. Additionally, they offer no‑cost or low‑fee counselling, peer-led mental health and substance-use support groups, sex‑work support, and community education initiatives that foster holistic well‑being .

Saige Community Food Bank is a Vancouver-based nonprofit founded in 2012 that provides a low-barrier, bi-monthly food share and a community kitchen specifically designed as a safe and inclusive space for Two-Spirit, transgender, gender-diverse, and queer individuals. Named in honour of a trans woman who faced barriers accessing food and tragically died by suicide, Saige helps those excluded from government food banks due to lack of ID, housing, or discrimination, offering healthy fresh produce, baked goods, toiletries, clothing, and supportive peer connections. They’ve also expanded with programs like a food forest community garden, “Gift of Food” pop-ups in the DTES, and virtual community kitchen sessions to nourish both bodies and social bonds

The Kendall Gender Foundation is a Canadian non‑profit dedicated to raising funds for at‑risk individuals in the LGBTQ2SIA+ community to access drug and alcohol rehabilitation, in partnership with Last Door Recovery. Each year, the foundation covers the full cost (about $30,000) of one person’s 90‑day treatment program, tackling financial barriers to life‑saving care. It funds its mission through donations at Kendall Gender performances, fundraisers, corporate sponsorships, and online giving.
