Thank you for your interest in becoming a Monarch of Vancouver through the Dogwood Monarchist Society. The application package below outlines the process, expectations, and requirements for candidacy, including a detailed questionnaire and an in-person interview with the College of Monarchs in late January or early February. Please note: a valid physical passport must be presented at the interview. Digital copies, photocopies, or expired passports cannot be accepted.
The DMS is a volunteer-run charitable organization supporting Vancouver’s LGBTQ2S+ community through fundraising and community-building. Monarchs lead events, represent Vancouver locally and internationally, and uphold the traditions and values of the Society.
The application fee is $150, which includes a one-year membership and a Coronation ticket. Completed applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on December 31, 2025.
